My Profile

      This is my 25th year in education and my 8th with ACISD! I grew up in South Texas, graduating from Refugio High School in 1983. The next four years were spent at Baylor University working on my B.S. Elem. Ed. degree with a minor in Reading. I taught Pre-K, 5th, and 7th-8th grade Reading and I worked as a public librarian for 3 years before becoming a school librarian.

 

      My husband and I have been married 34 years and are blessed with three children, their spouses and the best granddaughter in the world (well, WE think so anyway)! To say that education runs in my family would be an understatement. My mom taught 2nd grade until she retired, 2 of my siblings are teachers, my husband taught Govt./Eco. for years, our daughter teaches 4th grade and our son is a speech therapist for Klein ISD! We are a family of educators!

 

      I love to travel and have a long bucket list of places to visit. I intend to check off Ireland and the Pacific Coast Highway in 2022. My husband and I have a Can Am Spyder that we enjoy anytime the weather is right!
