Chief Christian Salas is from San Antonio, Texas.

•     He served 24 years in the Navy. His assignments were onboard submarines, where he was the Supply Department Enlisted Advisor. His title was a Culinary Specialist which is a Head Chef.
•     His duties were serving on four Los Angeles Class Submarines, one Fleet Ballistic Missile Submarine, and one Sturgeon Class Submarine. His shore duties were at Navy Base Point Loma San Diego and Navy Recruiting District Houston. 
•      Accomplishments include 4 Western Pacific Deployments 2 NORTHCOM Deployments, and 2 Mediterranean Deployments. His Submarines have participated in numerous Fleet Exercises such as RIMPAC, Operation Odyssey Dawn, Enduring Freedom, and Navy Artic ICEX. He was also qualified as Chief of The Watch which works with driving/diving the Submarine. 
•     His hobbies include playing basketball, cycling, motorcycling, and mentoring at local youth and church groups. He also volunteers at local shelters and is heavily involved in community outreach programs.
•      He is extremely happy and excited to be part of the Rockport-Fulton community.
