About Science Department

Science is important for learning because it develops problem-solving skills. Problem solving and application of knowledge can be useful more than in just lab situations or classroom settings. If you want to fix a broken toaster, for example, science could help, but checking the switches, wires and plugs are examples of using problem solving. In this way, the set of skills necessary to analyze situations and think logically to find a solution are provided by science. Scientists apply these skills along with research techniques to build hypotheses, test them and then rebuild better hypotheses.
