About Me:

Hello!  I am Robert Young, A math teacher at Rockport Fulton Highschool.   

 

I normally teach Algebra 2, or Algebra 2 Honors, and some years I also teach Geometry.  I am a student focused teacher and value effort more than perfection.   This belief stems from the knowledge that students are in training for adulthood in my classroom and many of my classroom rules and operations reflect this. Mistakes are allowed, as long as it is a part of the process of learning to do better.   An example I tell students in my class, its very much like a toddler learning to walk. Sometimes they'll stumble, fall, or bump into things, but they eventually, through determination, figure it out. 

 

A person who will work hard to accomplish a goal is priceless. I try to foster that mindset for these near-adults. 

 

I am a father of Three. Two daughters and a son as the youngest. I am married to a wonderful supportive wife without whom I would not be the person I am today.
